ZACHEM S.A. is one of the most important chemical enterprises in Poland and one of the biggest companies of the northwestern part of the country. We offer about 400 organic and inorganic chemical products and intermediate products for the chemical industry, for the cable and power industries and several others.  

ZACHEM S.A. has long-standing experience in the production of flexible polyurethane foams and toluenediisocyanate (TDI), thanks to which it is perceived as a forerunner of polyurethane production in Central Europe and the leader in polyurethane production in Poland. Moreover, it is the only Polish producer of epichlorohydrin (EPI), allyl chloride (AC). ZACHEM is also a well-known producer of a wide range of PVC-compounds and a number of inorganic products, such as hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and sodium hypochlorite. (See: PRODUCTS)

ZACHEM S.A.’s goal is to maintain the high quality of its products, to manufacture them using the newest, safest, and most environmentally friendly technologies, and to expand its range of products with a view to meeting the needs of its customers. This is achieved through:

• producing goods of consistently high quality 
• introducing new products and modifying current ones
• implementing modern technological solutions
• maintaining and improving the quality system, according to the specifications of the ISO 9001 standard 
• implementing environmental management according to the ISO 14001 standard and workers' health protection according to the PN-N-18001 standard
• using the computer-aided management system SAP R/3.

Since 1989, ZACHEM S.A. has been systematically carrying out the program of eco-structurization, which has resulted in closing down harmful installations and has initiated changes aiming at environmentally friendly production. 
Special emphasis has been put on wastewater treatment: within its area, ZACHEM S.A. built the Central Neutralization Plant (CSN) and covered part of the cost of constructing the Kapuściska sewage treatment plant. (See: ECOLOGY)

In 1992, ZACHEM S.A. started the process of restructuring, which lead to the emergence of NITROCHEM S.A. and companies of the ZACHEM S.A. Group, offering services in the fields of designing, transportation, renovation, social services etc.

At present, ZACHEM S.A. provides access to unused technological buildings, stores and other premises to outside investors (through renting, sale or leasing).
